Shiba Inu - Sylee - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog
Sylee is truly a remarkable canine. Her entire life was spent at the end of a chain., and when her caregiver finally decided to relinquish her, she had never been inside a house. Not socialized and left on her own her entire life, she was naturally frightened when she was brought to the TLC. It took her about a week to discover that she liked being a house dog, loved soft blankets, and fresh water and food. Air conditioning was definitely a plus. She now realizes that the harness put over her head means a walk, not being chained up, and although she is still very shy, and is easily spooked, has made human friends quickly. She is still suspicous of other dogs, but is gradually relaxing. In spite of the years of isolation at the end of a chain, she is a gorgeous dog, with an independent, loving spirit.. Alert, curious and intelligent , she would make an awesome companion for someone with the time to help her continue reaching her potential. Definitely a house dog, she still loves to walk ...actually run....she would be a great companion for someone with a stable, yet active lifestyle, She is a shiba inu, so she has a tendency to wander and would need a secure fenced area where she could play . Sylee is an awesome furbaby who just graduated from obedience class with flying colors!!
